A SMALL GESTURE. MORE POSSIBILITIES.

Your trackpad.
A little more capable.

INTERACTION PREVIEW Choose a segment
Everything starts at your cursor.

Choose a category to unfold its tools. The centre stays clear.

A website preview. Gestures, haptics and tools run in the Mac app.

A SHORTER PATH TO DONE

Useful tools.
One place to reach them.

Six categories keep the wheel compact. Each opens a separate set of actions, then a focused panel for the task.

01

Find the image. Keep the good ones.

Search Google Images inside Orbit, with a Wikimedia alternative. Favourites, Recent Images and Open Image have their own views.

02

Give everyday files another form.

Remove an image background, extract its text, resize it, or change its format. Turn PDF pages into JPGs, combine PDFs, or make a PDF from images.

03

Keep a result moving.

Next sends a result to a compatible tool. Carry holds one draggable result while you work elsewhere. Save or copy it before quitting.

04

A little help, on your Mac.

Rewrite and summarize with Apple's local model when it's available and ready. Translation may download language packs. No paid AI API.

BEYOND THE WHEEL

The edges have a purpose.

RIGHT EDGE

Brightness, under your finger.

Slide vertically along the extreme right edge of the trackpad to change built-in display brightness. A slim indicator appears at the screen edge.

LEFT EDGE · EXPERIMENTAL

Find your place in a track.

Preview a seek, then lift to apply it in connected Music or Spotify. Off by default; needs Automation access and testing with real players.

Local AI depends on
Apple Intelligence eligibility and an enabled, ready local model. No remote model fallback.
Distribution
Ad-hoc signed and unnotarized. macOS may block it. It has no Apple-verified publisher identity.

Read before installing. This build is unnotarized and may be blocked by macOS. Follow the installation guide and decide whether you trust the source. Managed Macs may prohibit an exception.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Is the beta really free?

Yes. Version 0.9.1 has no subscription, license key, trial timer or expiry. Future pricing has not been decided.

Does everything stay on my Mac?

Image and PDF processing, OCR and supported local AI run on your Mac. Image searches and downloads contact providers and publishers; translation may download language packs. Clipboard history is optional and off by default. Read the privacy details.

Can I undo the installation?

Quit Orbit, switch off Launch at login if enabled, then move Orbit.app to Trash. Removing the app doesn't remove its saved pins or image links. Full removal instructions.

How do updates work?

Updates are manual. Quit Orbit and replace the app with a newer beta from the same distributor. Keep the old installer for rollback. Ad-hoc updates may ask for permissions again.
